Jodi Sta. Maria Adds Positive Psychology Coach to Her Resume
JODI STA. MARIA – Actress Jodi Sta. Maria is proving there’s more to her than just acting, as she steps into a new role as a certified Positive Psychology Coach.
Award-winning actress Jodi Sta. Maria continues to pursue growth beyond the entertainment industry by officially becoming a certified Positive Psychology Coach. She recently shared her accomplishment with fans through Instagram Stories, proudly displaying her certificate.
“Another tool in the tool kit. Officially a Positive Psychology Coach 🙏. Here’s to helping others thrive from the inside out,” she wrote, signaling her dedication to promoting well-being and personal development.

Positive psychology coaching is defined as a “scientifically rooted approach to helping clients increase well-being, enhance and apply strengths, improve performance, and achieve valued goals,” as described by Kauffman, Boniwell, and Silberman (2010), cited by positivepsychology.com.
This milestone builds on Jodi’s academic achievements, having earned her psychology degree in 2021. Despite her busy schedule as a Kapamilya star, she remains committed to furthering her education.
“Isa ‘yan sa mga bagay na kino-consider kong importante sa buhay ko eh. Ang Master’s naman you just go to school once or twice a week so mas maluwag ‘yung schedule kaya marami rin akong mga bagay na nagagawa,” she said in a previous interview posted on MJ Marfori’s YouTube channel.
Jodi also revealed plans to expand on her college thesis, “The Impact of the NADA Protocol (Ear Acudetox) on the Anxiety Level of People Working in Television Production.”
“Now I am really excited for my [future] paper because it’s going to be an extension study of this paper,” she relayed.

Aside from her coaching and academic endeavors, Jodi launched her own YouTube platform, the JSM Channel, which aims to inspire and spread positivity. She integrates her knowledge of psychology into the content.
“Sa ‘Live Light’ [segment] ‘yung isang episode will be about different topics, there will be topics about love, and boundaries, and family and we have subject matter expert to further expound on the topic so that hindi lang puro, ‘I believe,’ ‘This is what I think,’ pero it’s like supported by and back up by studies,” she explained.
Reflecting on this new chapter, Jodi added, “I feel na these are the things na natutunan mo in school… ngayon it’s being put into good use… meron na siyang real-life application.”
