MARCOS SONA 2025 – Here are the important events and reports in the 4th State of the Nation Address of President Bongbong Marcos.
The 4th State of the Nation Address of Pres. Bongbong Marcos is set in Batasang Pambansa this afternoon. Countless Filipinos are excited to hear what the Chief Executive will be reporting before the 20th Congress and the Filipino people about the status of the country.

Earlier today, the Presidential Communications Office said the Marcos SONA 2025 may take over an hour. The PCO also confirmed that the President has finished rehearsing his speech for the annual event. Previously, the Philippine National Police confirmed that around 12,000 personnel will be deployed to ensure the safety at the event.
While many Marcos allies and supporters are excited to hear the speech of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, several government officials have confirmed their absence to the annual address of the President today. One of the very first who confirmed her absence was Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

Amid an ongoing rift between her and Pres. Bongbong Marcos, the Vice President claimed that she does not expect any substantial information about the country at the Marcos SONA 2025. According to her, she will fly to South Korea and meet with the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) abroad.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that the Filipinos have no obligation to listen to Marcos SONA 2025. Aside from Duterte, presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos also confirmed her absence at the event. While it is no secret to the public that Senator Imee took the side of the Dutertes amid the political turmoil in the government, she denied that her absence is due to her ties with Vice Pres. Duterte.

According to Sen. Imee Marcos, she is standing one with some of her colleagues in the Duterte bloc. Senators Bato dela Rosa, Bong Go, and Robin Padilla will also skip the Marcos SONA 2025.

Here are the important events in the Marcos SONA 2025:
- Pres. Bongbong Marcos arrived early at Batasang Pambansa before 3:30 p.m. — one of the earliest in the record. Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Romeo Brawner Jr. welcomed the Chief Executive.
- The singing of the Philippine National Anthem was led by The Voice champ Sofronio Vasquez III.
- Pres. Bongbong Marcos started his speech. He called on the Filipinos to set aside politics and to unite as Filipino people.
- Marcos Jr. vowed to do more to help the Filipino people including helping the small businessmen by lending them working capitals.
- The President stressed that the government has showed that the P20 per kilo rice is possible without the farmers having to take the downside.
- Marcos Jr. said the government has increased the production of many agricultural products including bananas and corn. He vowed for the construction of rice processing systems.
- The government is set to finish the construction of around 200 electric plants to empower electricity supply within the last three (3) years of the Marcos admin.
- According to Marcos Jr., he will not let what happened to Siquijor over their electricity supply problems past. He claimed that the probe found that there are expired permits and damaged generators and he has ordered the Department of Energy to solve the problem.
- Marcos admin keeps education at the center of its priorities. More classrooms will be built as per the President. He also shared that the laptops for the public school teachers have already arrived. The government will pay the teachers for the excess in their workload and overtime work.
- According to the President, P1 billion is allotted for the construction of child development centers across the country. He also ordered the Department of Health for the procurement of the vaccines for the children.
- The President also claimed that around 1.5 million Filipino families have progressed in their status in life and have graduated from the 4Ps anti-poverty program.
- Pres. Bongbong Marcos mentions PNP chief Police General Nicolas Torre III as the “new champion” in the field of sports. The PNP Chief laughed and stood to bow at the President.
- According to the President, PhilHealth has widely expanded its offers for the members which now attends to emergency situations. Furthermore, he vowed for a swift medical assistance to the Filipinos by incorporating the aid to the egov app.
