Pokwang Considers Legal Action After Fyang Fans Target Her Daughter

Pokwang Responds After Fyang Fans Bash Her Child

POKWANG – The comedienne and TV host is considering taking legal action against online bashers who dragged her young daughter, Malia O’Brian, into heated online discussions. Malia is only seven years old, and Pokwang expressed deep concern over the inappropriate comments directed at her child.

The issue began when Pokwang offered advice to Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith, after an old video of Fyang resurfaced and went viral. In the clip, Fyang jokingly claimed that no future PBB season could top their batch. Pokwang responded on social media, reminding Fyang to stay humble—especially in showbiz, where many winners eventually fade from the spotlight.

In her post, Pokwang wrote: “my God iha 21 years na ako sa showbiz at ang sekreto BE HUMBLE iha yan muna ang pag aralan naka ilang pbb season na ang nasaksihan ko pero iilan nalang silang active sa showbiz so iha please wag muna mag yabang bad yan.”

Her comment sparked mixed reactions. Some defended her, noting that the entertainment industry is a small world and that people often cross paths eventually. One netizen even advised Fyang’s supporters not to take Pokwang’s comment personally, suggesting she simply hadn’t had the chance to know Fyang yet.

Pokwang responded by saying she was fortunate to have worked with major names in the industry—Nadine Lustre, Liza Soberano, Marian Rivera, Vilma Santos, the late comedy king Dolphy, and many others. She joked that even fading from the limelight is worth it when you’ve had the chance to work with such icons.

However, things escalated when some of Fyang’s fans began attacking Pokwang online—some even wishing harm on her daughter. Pokwang said she has taken screenshots of the harmful messages and is now seriously considering legal action. She emphasized that disagreements are normal, but involving a child crosses the line. As of now, the posts targeting Malia appear to have been deleted.
