From Rejection to Triumph: Mika Salamanca’s Inspiring PBB Journey
MIKA SALAMANCA – Social media star Mika Salamanca looked back on her unforgettable Pinoy Big Brother journey, expressing deep gratitude after being named one of the big winners alongside Brent Manalo.
After emerging as one of the big winners of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition alongside Brent Manalo, social media personality Mika Salamanca took to Instagram to express her heartfelt gratitude and reflect on her unexpected journey inside the iconic house.
“Pumasok ako ng PBB na may dalang konting damit at pangarap lang, kaya hindi ko inexpect na aabot ako sa dulo, ‘cause wdym umabot talaga TAYO sa dulo?! NO WAYYYYY, legit?” Mika shared, revealing her disbelief and surprise at making it all the way to the end.
Mika recalled how she had once auditioned for PBB a decade ago but didn’t make the cut. “10 years ago di ako pinalad na makapasok sa PBB, siguro dahil hindi pa ko ready. I’m a firm believer that when plans don’t go your way, it’s because God has a bigger one, at ito yun!” she reflected.
For Mika, her success came from simply being authentic. “Thank you for letting me reintroduce myself. Words are not enough to explain how overwhelmed I am sa lahat ng sumalubong na pagmamahal sa amin. Maraming salamat po! Araw-araw po akong maghahanap ng paraan para maibalik sa inyo ang pagmamahal na natatanggap namin. KAYO PO ANG TUNAY NA BIG WINNER!”
She also acknowledged other duos in the competition — ShuKla (Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman) and DusBi (Dustin Yu and Bianca de Vera) — and paid a touching tribute to her winning partner, Brent Manalo.
“To Brent, welcome to the outside world, partner… You really made this journey easier by carrying my emotions with me… And kahit nasa labas na tayo, walang magbabago. I got you. You got me,” she wrote.
Before concluding her post, Mika expressed deep appreciation to PBB staff, hosts, Kuya, her talent management, friends, and family. “To my co-housemates, you guys made this experience very special and worth remembering and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she said.
Mika’s story is one of perseverance, faith, and the power of staying true to oneself.
