Boying Remulla, DOJ Secretary, Confirms 15 Cops under “Restricted Duty” due to Missing Sabungeros Case
DOJ – Justice Secretary Boying Remulla confirmed that 15 police officers are under “restricted duty” due to their alleged involvement in the missing sabungeros case.
Recently, a “whistleblower” identified as alias “Totoy” made claims that surprised many people. According to him, around a hundred cockfight enthusiasts or sabungeros were allegedly hurt and thrown at Taal Lake. His claims came years after 34 sabungeros were reported missing.

The families of the sabungeros who disappeared remain to be in search for justice over what happened to their loved ones. The “whistleblower” claimed that Chinese-Filipino businessman Charlie Ang or more popularly known as Atong Ang is allegedly involved in the case of the missing sabungeros.

Alias “Totoy” also accused Gretchen Barretto in the case of the missing cockfight enthusiasts. According to him, he is willing to cooperate with the government in finding justice for what happened to the sabungeros who disappeared.
Following the claim of the “whistleblower”, Atong Ang said he will file a case against alias “Totoy” over his claims about the missing sabungeros. The Chinese-Filipino businessman also claimed that Totoy is just allegedly after money.
DOJ Sec. Boying Remulla previously confirmed that Gretchen Barretto and Atong Ang are now considered suspects in the case over the disappearance of the cockfight enthusiasts. Recently, the Justice Secretary said 15 police officers are now under a “restricted duty” due to their alleged involvement in the case.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Justice Sec. Boying Remulla claimd that 15 police officials allegedly playe a major role in the killing of the missing sabungeros. He made the statements to the media after his meeting with the families of the missing cockfight enthusiasts at the DOJ.
DOJ Sec. Boying Remulla also assured that the government will not stop in its pursuit for justice for the missing sabungeros. Based on the report, he stressed that it should not be allowed that money is working against the pursuit for justice.
“Hindi namin titigilan ito, talagang kailangan ng hustisya eh, alam mo ang kaluluwa natin bilang mga Pilipino nakataya rito, dito hindi tayo pumapayag na pera-pera lang ang naging Panginoon ng Pilipino, hindi dapat ganoon,” the Justice Secretary said.
Malacañang also recently said that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the government will not spare even well-known personalities in the case over the missing sabungeros. Recently, former actress Gretchen Barretto denied her alleged involvement to the case.
