JIMMY SANTOS – The veteran comedian and former TV host has addressed recent speculation about his financial status following several viral videos showing him working as a porter, fishball vendor, and construction worker.

Many netizens assumed he had fallen on hard times. However, in a vlog interview on Kasolid Vlogs, Santos clarified that these videos were part of the content for his YouTube channel, Jimmy Saints.

According to Santos, the goal of the videos is to honor and highlight the dignity of everyday Filipino workers—not to suggest that he is struggling financially. He explained that by trying out these jobs, he aimed to showcase the hard work and dedication of ordinary people who earn a living through honest means.

Santos emphasized that he remains open to showbiz projects and has not retired from the entertainment industry. He assured fans that he is doing well and continues to enjoy creating content online. His son Martin also shared that Jimmy is a lifetime endorser of a housing company in Pampanga, which gives their family peace of mind about his future. In the end, Santos simply wants to inspire others and give value to underappreciated jobs—not to seek sympathy or assistance.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Santos is a well-known comedian, actor, TV host, former PBA player, and YouTuber. Before entering showbiz, he played for the 7-Up Uncolas during the PBA’s inaugural season in 1975 and was part of the Jose Rizal College team that won the 1972 NCAA championship.

After his basketball career, he found success in comedy through shows like Iskul Bukol, T.O.D.A.S., and Eat Bulaga!, where he served as a host for nearly 40 years. He also starred in hit films such as Bondying, Wooly Booly, and Humanap Ka ng Panget.
