Maymay Entrata: “From the bottom of our hearts, maraming salamat po.”

MAYMAY ENTRATA – The singer-actress took to social media to express her gratitude to those who offered their sympathies and condolences to her.

The Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 edition winner ended her short-yet-heartfelt message by reiterating her gratefulness.

Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng dumalaw sa lamay ng aking ina, at sa mga nagpadala ng bulaklak at pakikiramay. Sobrang nakatulong ang presensya at suporta n’yo sa amin sa panahong ito,” she said in the caption of her post. “Every kind word, every gesture of love, and every prayer has brought us comfort and strength po talaga. From the bottom of our hearts, maraming salamat po.

It can be recalled that in an emotional post on Instagram last Friday, May 16, 2025, Maymay Entrata confirmed the death of her mother after a long battle with cancer.

Her post was accompanied by a video of one of her last moments with her mother while she was in Japan. In the said video, Maymay and her mother can be seen having matching outfits, walking the streets of Japan, enjoying the scenery, and singing “That’s What Friends Are For”.

According to a report on ABS-CBN News, Maymay’s mother was an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who had worked in Japan but eventually returned to the Philippines to undergo treatment for cancer.

In the caption of her post, the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate thanked her mother and also expressed how much she will be missing her who taught her how to love unconditionally. The actress then told her followers to express their love for their families and loved ones and to enjoy the time they have with them before it’s too late.
