Pres. Bongbong Marcos Says Filipinos Tired of Politics, Disappointed by Gov’t Service
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President admitted his realizations from the results of the 2025 Midterm Elections where not all Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago bets won.
Following the 2025 Midterm Elections that included both local and national polls, Pres. Marcos, through a statement, extended his hands to the election winners regardless of the political colors where they came from. He also stressed that the mission and work of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago continues although not all its bets won a seat in the Senate.

Marcos Jr. led the campaign sorties of the Alyansa. He stressed that the grand alliance which is a mix of several major political parties in the Philippines supports candidates who have experience in public service. He called on the Filipinos to vote the bets of the alliance for the continuity of the projects started by the government.

The Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago initially had 12 senatorial bets but presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos left the Alyansa team after the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She stressed that the actions of the government do not match her ideals and principles in life. The exit of the presidential sister left the slate with 11 senatorial candidates:
- Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos
- Sen. Francis Tolentino
- Sen. Pia Cayetano
- former Sen. Manny Pacquiao
- Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Sen. Lito Lapid
- former Senator Panfilo Lacson
- Sen. Ramon ”Bong” Revilla Jr.
- Deputy Speaker Camille Villar
- former Senator Vicente Sotto III,
- former Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos aired his realizations from the results of the 2025 Midterm Elections. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive stressed that he realized that the Filipino people are tired of politics.
“I have two conclusions dito sa eleksyon. Una, nagsawa na ang Pilipino sa politika. Sawang-sawa sa politika. Ang mensahe sa aming lahat, hindi lamang sa akin, kung hindi sa aming lahat: ‘Tama na ang pamumulitika ninyo at kami naman ang asikasuhin ninyo,’” the President said.
Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos agreed that the Philippine government fell short in prioritizing the people. According to him, now that the elections are over, politicking must be stopped, too. He also expressed his second realization from the results of the 2025 Elections which is the alleged disappointment of the Filipinos with regards to the service provided by the government.
“Ang pangalawa, disappointed ang tao sa serbisyo ng gobyerno. Hindi nila nararamdaman at masyadong mabagal ang pagbubuo ng mga project na hindi pa nila maramdaman. Hindi natin nabigyan ng sapat na atensyon ‘yung mas maliliit na bagay, ‘yung para maging mas maginhawa ang pang-araw-araw na buhay ng tao,” he expressed.
Pres. Marcos vowed to improve the delivery of the basic services of the government. According to him, they were too focused on the long-term projects which will really benefit the people but would take a lot of time to be completed.
After leaving her brother’s senatorial slate, Sen. Imee Marcos did not mention Pres. Bongbong Marcos in her Proclamation Speech but acknowledged the Dutertes.
