Pres. Bongbong Marcos Marks Final Campaign for Alyansa Senatorial Slate
BONGBONG MARCOS – In his final pitch at the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago campaign rally, the President claimed that the Philippines is now known for its fast-growing economy.
The grand alliance is left with 11 senatorial bets following the exit of Senator Imee Marcos from the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago. The presidential sister decided to leave the alliance amid the controversy on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte last March 11.

Duterte was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) upon his arrival from Hong Kong. The International Criminal Court (ICC) reportedly issued an arrest warrant against the former President over the accusations versus his administration’s war on drugs.

Former Pres. Duterte was detained at the Villamor Air Base for several hours. On the same day of his arrest, he was flown to The Hague, Netherlands via Dubai for his detention under the ICC. Sen. Marcos believes there was no due process in the arrest of the former President.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, at the grand alliance’s campaign in Mandaluyong, the President called for votes for the Alyansa bets citing the continuity of the programs and projects of the administration.

Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also claimed that they gathered the best senatorial candidates in the alliance for the continued progress in the country. According to him, many have happened due to the unity and he has a lot of good news to share to the Filipino people.
