Lotlot de Leon Honors Late Mom Nora Aunor with Touching Tribute in New Role
LOTLOT DE LEON – Actress Lotlot de Leon couldn’t hold back her emotions after learning she would portray a character named “Nora,” a heartfelt nod to her late mother, Nora Aunor.
Veteran actress Lotlot de Leon recently shared a deeply emotional moment while working on her latest project. On May 9, she took to Instagram Stories to reveal that she would be portraying a character named “Nora” — a name that holds immense significance in her life.
This project marks the first time Lotlot will play a character bearing the name of her late adoptive mother, the legendary actress and Philippine cinema icon, Nora Aunor, who passed away just last month. The timing of the role, so soon after the Superstar’s passing, clearly struck a chord with Lotlot.

“At work today and for the first time ever… ngayon lang na ang pangalan ng character ko ay, Nora,” she wrote, expressing her sentimental attachment to the role. The actress also shared that, in a touching gesture, her character’s name was displayed on her tent — a break from the usual practice of labeling tents with actors’ real names. “And usually ang nilalagay na names sa tent are the real names of the actors, but today it’s mom’s name.”
In a brief but heartfelt message, Lotlot addressed her late mother directly: “Hi ma… I love you…” Her words reflected not only her sorrow but also the deep love and respect she has always had for Aunor.

In another Instagram story, Lotlot turned to prayer, lifting her feelings to God with quiet humility. “Pagpalain nyo po ako papa God. Kayo na po bahala sa lahat lahat… Alam ko naririnig mo laman ng puso ko.”

The actress’s social media posts have resonated with many fans who continue to mourn the loss of Nora Aunor. Through her touching tribute, Lotlot de Leon honored her mother’s legacy in a uniquely personal way — not just as a daughter, but as an artist carrying her mother’s name into her work.
