BATO DELA ROSA – The Philippine National Police revealed that the Senator still have four (4) protective security personnel despite the removal of the two (2) security officers assigned at his residence in Davao.
Amid the speculations that Sen. dela Rosa may also be soon facing a warrant of arrest issued by the International Criminal Court, the Senator claimed that the Philippine National Police has recalled the security details assigned to him.

According to Sen. Bato dela Rosa, he only found out that the PNP security details assigned to him were recalled when he returned home to Davao City. He came from the campaign rallies of the PDP-Laban amid the campaign period for the national election.

The Senator claimed that he has no idea when his security details were actually re-assigned. According to him, his security officers were on standby at his residence and he does not know when they were told to report back to their office.
The claim of Sen. Bato dela Rosa alarmed his supporters who are concerned about his security. However, recently, the PNP claimed that it was last January when the security details of Dela Rosa were actually recalled. According to PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, two (2) police offers assigned at the residence of dela Rosa were recalled pursuant to the resolution of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) with regards to the availment of the security detail.
The PNP also revealed that Sen. Bato dela Rosa still has security personnel. Based on a report on GMA News, Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said the Senator might have forgot to mention that he still has four (4) security personnel who were approved by the Comelec.
“Nakalimutan na marahil banggitin ng ating kagalang-galang na senador na meron pong naka-detail sa kanya na apat na protective security personnel na meron po ‘yan na approved na certificate of authority or exemption from the Comelec,” Fajardo said.

Based on the report, the PNP Spokesperson further expressed that the authority over the existing security personnel of Sen. Dela Rosa is valid until June 11, 2025. Fajardo stressed that it is clear that the two (2) security details of the Senator did not have an approved certificate of authority or exemption from the Comelec, thus, they were recalled.
Previously, Sen. Bato dela Rosa claimed that retired officers have offered to replace his security.
