Following Harry Roque’s Appearance at the Netherlands, DOJ Chief Remulla Dares Duterte’s Former Spokesman To Face Allegations
DOJ chief Boying Remulla dared former presidential spokesman Harry Roque to return to the Philippines and face the accusations against him.
Countless Filipinos were surprised when former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque was once again spotted in public at the Hague, Netherlands. He was seen talking to Vice President Sara Duterte who flew to Netherlands to support former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Duterte was arrested by the authorities of the Philippine National Police (PNP) a week ago upon his arrival from Hong Kong. Following his arrest at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the former President was detained at Villamor Air Base before he was flown to Dubai en route for the Netherlands.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte immediately followed FPRRD to the Netherlands. Following the sight of Roque talking with the Vice President, the former spokesman of former Pres. Duterte claimed that he will be one of the members of the legal team of the former Chief Executive.

According to former presidential spokesman Harry Roque, he filed an application to be one of the legal counsels of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He is one of the Filipino lawyers who is accredited by the ICC. Roque also said he will seek asylum at the Netherlands.

Following the appearance of Harry Roque at the Netherlands, Malacanang encouraged the Filipinos to call “Bring Roque Home” amid the supporters of former Pres. Duterte calling for “Bring Duterte Home”. Recently, DOJ chief Boying Remulla reacted to the appearance of Roque at the Hague.

Based on a report on GMA News, DOJ chief Boying Remulla dared former presidential spokesman Harry Roque to return to the Philippines and face the allegations against him. He called for him to act like a Filipino.
“Harapin niya ‘yung ano, kung ano mang sinasakdal sa kanya. Harapin niya, ‘di ba? Magpaka-Pilipino siya nang maayos,” the Justice Secretary said.
According to the Remulla, Roque is allegedly hiding already even if nothing has happened yet. Based on the report, the DOJ Chief also cited his being a lawyer and being allegedly a violator of the law.
“Wala pa ngang nangyayari tumatakas na siya eh. Hindi, harapin niya. Abogado pa naman siya, hindi siya sumusunod sa batas. Sumunod siya sa batas, harapin niya,” the DOJ expressed.
Contrary to the prior pronouncements of the former presidential spokesman, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte recently announced that Harry Roque will not be part of her father’s ICC legal team.
