Kitty Duterte Expresses Anger Over Alleged Harassment Amid Father’s Arrest

Kitty Duterte Shares Evidence of Alleged Harassment

KITTY DUTERTE – The daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte took to Instagram to express her frustration over what she described as harassment against her and her family.

She shared a photo of her torn top, attributing the damage to the incident. “This is the result of the harassment they did to my family and I today. Done by the supposed “protectors” of this country,” she wrote.

Her post came shortly after her father was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on March 11, 2025. Former President Duterte had just returned from Hong Kong when authorities, acting on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant, took him into custody. Despite the Philippine government’s previous stance against cooperating with the ICC, an official from the Marcos administration stated that the country would honor its commitments to Interpol, which facilitated the arrest.

Duterte traveled to Hong Kong on March 7, 2025, accompanied by his long-time partner Honeylet Avanceña, his daughter Kitty, and several associates. His lawyer, Salvador Panelo, said the trip was for a political event organized by the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) in support of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP), aimed at overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). However, his departure coincided with reports that the ICC was preparing to issue a warrant against him.

Following his arrest, Duterte was transported to The Hague, Netherlands, where he is expected to stand trial for crimes against humanity. His supporters argue that the arrest is politically motivated, while critics see it as a long-overdue step toward accountability.

Meanwhile, former President Rodrigo Duterte’s plane landed at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai at 8:03 AM on Wednesday, March 12. His aircraft (RP-C5219) departed from Villamor Air Base in Pasay City at 11:03 PM on March 11, as confirmed by President Bongbong Marcos. After a brief layover of just over an hour in Dubai, Duterte is set to continue his journey to Rotterdam Airport in The Hague.
