Sen. Bong Go Speaks on Former Pres. Duterte amid Arrest
BONG GO – The Senator stressed that former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has a lot of illnesses already and is turning 80 this March.
The Filipino populace is divided on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte today. The former Chief Executive has just arrived from Hong Kong when the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Interpol served an arrest order against him.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the Interpol Manila received a copy of the arrest warrant against Duterte from the ICC early today. The former President is currently in the custody of the authorities. Several known personalities were also present amid the unexpected incident.

Sen. Bong Go was one of the known personalities who were present during the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The lawmaker who was a special assistant of the former President for several years before he became senator arrived at NAIA ahead of the arrival of the flight of Duterte.

Sen. Bong Go was with a doctor as he spoke to the press. Based on a post of ABS-CBN News, the Senator introduced one of the doctors of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and revealed they brought with them an ambulance.
“Nandirito po ang doctor ni former Pres. Duterte, si Doc Agnes at dalawa pang doctor. Constitutional right po ng bawat Pilipino unahin ang medical,” Go said.
Sen. Bong Go also claimed that former Pres. Duterte has a scheduled procedure. Based on the post, during the interview, he stressed that the former Chief Executive is celebrating his 80th birthday this month and he has a lot of illnesses already.
“May procedure po siya [Duterte] bukas kaya po siya [Doc Agnes} andito may dala kaming ambulansya…. Marami ho siyang [Duterte} sakit mag-80 years old na po siya. March 28 mag-80 years old na po ‘yung matanda,” the Senator expressed.
Previously, in a statement released by PCO, it was stated that Duterte was checked by a doctor to ensure his health. He is currently under the custody of the authorities.
Prior to the former President going with the PNP and the Interpol, Honeylet Avanceña, the partner of former Pres. Duterte, tried to convince him not to go with the authorities. She stressed that there was allegedly no warrant of arrest. Currently, the former President awaits the presentation of the warrant.
