Actress Kris Aquino Attends PeopleAsia Awarding
KRIS AQUINO – The Queen of All Media surprised countless people when she made her first public appearance since her turn to the Philippines but she has to wear a mask following her doctor’s advice.
One of the Filipino celebrities whose life is an open book to the public is Kris. Her family is popular in the Philippine political arena but she made her own name in the entertainment industry. For a time, she was one of the most bankable actresses and talk show hosts of the Kapamilya network.
Kris did several movies and television series that hooked the viewers. Surely, countless Filipinos won’t forget her The Buzz years with King of Talk Boy Abunda. Thus, countless people were saddened when her health crisis began. It was only in September last year when Kris Aquino returned to the Philippines after a two-year of treatment abroad.
Kris was diagnosed with multiple auto-immune disorders. However, her being allergic to a lot of medicines make the treatment of her illness harder. During her stay in the United States, more autoimmune diseases were diagnosed of the actress-TV host.
When Kris returned to the Philippines last September, countless Filipinos were delighted and excited to see her again. Many of her fans and supporters even hoped that she’d be back in the limelight. However, the actress-TV host was honest that she went home to start her second immunosuppressant infusion and she needed the support of her family.
The actress-TV host admitted that there were times when her condition really leaves her very lonely but she refuses to give up for her two (2) sons and for the people who are praying for her recovery. She stressed that what was then a battle to defend her health has now become a fight for her life.
Last December, Kris Aquino fell victim to death hoax but her friend, Dindo Balares, was quick to end the rumors. He shared updates about the actress-TV host’s health saying that while her heart rate and blood pressure are under monitoring, she remains optimistic.
Recently, unexpectedly, Kris Aquino made her first public appearance since she returned to the Philippines. Based on a post on Daily Tribune, the actress-TV host appeared at the awards’ night of PeopleAsia magazine to support her dear friend, Michael Leyva.
Michael got a People of the Year Award. Kris was dressed in a pink coat with crystals and gems paired with a floral skirt. She wore a yellow mask. She was with her son, Bimby Aquino Yap, at the PeopleAsia magazine.
Based on the post, Michael Leyva playfully asked Kris Aquino to remove her mask for the photo opportunity. However, the actress-TV host was not allowed to do it as per her doctors’ advice.
“Hindi nga ako pwede magtanggal ng mask, papagalitan ako ng doctor ko,” she said.
Amid her health issues, there were still updates about the love life of Kris who received a bouquet with a sweet note in November.
