Jewel Mische Back in the Philippines W/ Family for Ministry Opportunities
JEWEL MISCHE – Former actress Jewel Mische is back in the Philippines with her family, embracing ministry opportunities and reconnecting with her roots.
Jewel Mische surprised fans with the announcement that she and her family are currently in the Philippines. The US-based celebrity revealed on Instagram that they flew to the country last October for ministry opportunities they couldn’t turn down.
Mische shared a heartwarming photo of herself with her American husband, Alister Kurzer, and their three daughters during a flight to Davao. “Our family has been keeping a little secret! We are in the Philippines!” she captioned the post. “We have some ministry opportunities here that we just couldn’t pass up.”
Since arriving, the family has been warmly embraced by the local community, enjoying spiritual blessings and an abundance of Filipino food. Mische even joked about how much she loves being back saying she doesn’t want to go back to the US anymore.
While Mische and her family are based in Davao for their commitments, the actress admitted she misses her friends from Luzon. She expressed her hopes of meeting them before their scheduled return to the US in a few weeks.
“Hindi pa lang po ako makapag-reach out dahil sa mga commitments namin dito simula pa pagdating namin, saka nahihiya din po ako doon sa iba sa inyo. Pero sana mangyari pa din before we head back [to the US],” she said.
Jewel Mische and Alister Kurzer tied the knot in 2015. The couple has since welcomed three daughters: their eldest in 2018, their second in 2020, and their youngest in 2021.
Last year, Mische shared her reasons for stepping away from showbiz, citing her desire to focus on her family and spiritual growth. Now, her return to the Philippines has been met with excitement from fans, who admire her dedication to faith and family.
As the Mische family continues their mission work, Jewel remains grateful for the blessings and opportunities they’ve encountered. Fans hope to see more of her during her short stay in the country.
