Kat Bautista Shares the Irresistible Moment She Knew Christian Bautista Was ‘The One’
KAT BAUTISTA – Christian Bautista’s wife, Kat Bautista, shares the heartfelt reason she fell in love with him instantly.
In a recent episode of GTV’s cooking talk show, Lutong Bahay, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista and his wife, Kat Bautista, gave fans an inside look into their marriage during a candid conversation with hosts Mikee Quintos and Chef Ylyt. The couple discussed the foundations of their relationship, emphasizing the importance of friendship, communication, and mutual respect.
Kat shared her admiration for Christian’s maturity, noting that their relationship thrives on meaningful discussions rather than conflicts. “Hindi kami nag-aaway. Ano siya, productive discussion. Sobra siyang mature na tao, ako hindi ako mature… [He’s] the first person in my life that taught me how to have a mature discussion na productive,” Kat said.
Looking back on their early days, Kat fondly recalled their natural connection. “We super got along as friends and I really appreciated that. […] The conversation kept flowing and flowing, and it was something that is hard for me to find; that somebody who is genuinely interested in hearing what you have to say [and] more than what you can give them,” said Kat, “So sobrang na-in love ako agad.”
On navigating the challenges of their careers, Christian shared his personal decision to avoid kissing scenes in his work, a choice Kat understands as part of his craft. “I really understand and respect the profession of acting. It’s an art, and I understand that some scenes really do call for it,” Kat explained. “As a wife… I understand it from the entertainment aspect na talagang kailangan.”
Christian highlighted communication as the cornerstone of their strong marriage, advising others to prioritize it. “We all know this; communication, right? So, do your best to communicate properly,” he said.
The couple’s love story began with Christian’s proposal on October 30, 2017, and culminated in their wedding on November 17, 2018, in a picturesque ceremony in Bali, Indonesia. Their journey continues to inspire many, showcasing a relationship built on trust, understanding, and love.
