RUFA MAE QUINTO – The lawyer of the actress-entrepreneur confirmed that her client is set to post a P1.7 million bail following her surrender to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

In late 2024, amid the issues surrounding the arrest of Neri Naig-Miranda regarding her involvement with Dermacare, news reports that another celebrity was about to face a warrant of arrest crossed the surface. Rufa Mae was named.

Neri was arrested at a convention center of a shopping mall. She is faced with syndicated estafa and was detained for several days. Amid the detention of the actress, the lawyer of Rufa Mae confirmed that her client is faced with an arrest warrant.

The legal counsel of the actress-entrepreneur, Atty. Mary Louise Reyes, stressed that her client will face the charges and is allegedly innocent. The lawyer also unveiled their plan for Rufa to surrender and post bail. She stressed that her client is only an endoreser.

“She will face those charges… mag-voluntary surrender siya and magpo-post po kami ng bail for that. She’s worried kasi hindi naman totoo ‘yung allegations kasi my client po is just a brand ambassador, a model-endorser,” the lawyer said.

Yesterday, Rufa Mae Quinto arrived in the Philippines and surrendered to the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation). She arrived from San Francisco, California in the United States with her family at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

The lawyer of Rufa coordinated with NAIA – NBI Chief Jimmy De Leon over her surrender to the authorities. She went through a medico legal examination before proceeding to a court in Pasay.

Recently, Boy Abunda who is a close friend of Rufa Mae Quinto gave an update about the actress on his show. On Fast Talk, Tito Boy said he was able to talk to the lawyer of the actress who confirmed that they will post a P1.7 million bail for her temporary release.

Atty. Reyes stressed that Rufa Mae continues to be loyal to the legal process and they are allegedly standing by the truth. The lawyer asked the public to refrain from making judgments.

“Sana maintindihan po ng lahat ang kahalagahan ng pag-withhold muna namin ng ibang impormasyon hangga’t maging maayos na po ang lahat. Kami po ay naninindigan sa katotohanan. Maraming salamat po,” Atty. Reyes said.

However, Rufa Mae Quinto was not able to post bail on the day of her surrender to the NBI as her blood pressure shoot up. According to her lawyer, it is probably due to “stress” but they intend to continue the process in posting bail today.

Amid the issue about an arrest warrant against Rufa, Trevor Magallanes, confirmed that he and Rufa Mae Quinto are divorced.
