Marian Rivera Finally Reacts to Her Viral ‘Unfaithful’ Meme

MARIAN RIVERA – Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera finally reacted to her viral ‘Unfaithful’ meme.

Marian Rivera enthusiastically revealed that her favorite meme of herself is her viral rendition of Rihanna’s “Unfaithful.” Marian and her husband, Dingdong Dantes, recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with their fans, the “DongYanatics,” during a Christmas party held on December 14 in Makati.

During a Q&A segment, Dingdong asked Marian about her favorite meme. Without hesitation, the actress answered that it was her iconic lip-sync performance of Rihanna’s “Unfaithful.”

The clip, which originated from the now-defunct Sunday show Party Pilipinas, continues to circulate on social media. Marian’s performance was part of the promotion for the finale of her 2013 drama, Temptation of Wife, a remake of a popular Korean series.

When asked about the meme, Marian quipped, “Meme? Story of my life… Bigyan niyo ako ng chance, music please,” before humorously singing the first line of the song.

She then explained to Dingdong, who appeared unfamiliar with the meme, why it amused her so much. “Tawang-tawa kasi ako doon. Galing ako ng taping noon, sobrang puyat ako nun. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi ko alam itong kantang ‘to, bahala na ‘to.’ Tuwing nakikita ko ‘yun, natatawa ako sa sarili ko,” she shared.

Marian quickly added that while singing isn’t her strongest skill, her daughter Zia has made up for it by taking voice lessons.

“Ayun lang, nabawi naman po ng anak ko,” Marian said.

Zia’s recent performance of Andra Day’s Rise Up during her recital on December 1 in Ortigas earned glowing comments from fans, showcasing her budding talent.
