Colegio San Agustin Responds To Yasmien Kurdi’s Bullying Claims

Colegio San Agustin Denies Bullying Allegations Against Yasmien Kurdi’s Daughter: ‘No Bullying Happened’

YASMIEN KURDI – Colegio San Agustin has denied the bullying allegations made by Yasmien Kurdi regarding her daughter, stating that “no bullying happened” during the reported incident.

Colegio San Agustin (CSA) has released an official statement addressing allegations made by Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi regarding her daughter, Ayesha, experiencing bullying at the school. The statement, signed by lawyers Joseph Noel M. Estrada and Willard T. Yung, was posted on Facebook, emphasizing that the incident “has been blown out in the public.”

The school clarified that based on their initial findings, “there appears to be no bullying that happened on December 10, 2024.” CSA explained that they promptly addressed the situation with the students and parents involved, handling the matter “with caution, circumspect, and confidentiality.”

The statement urged Yasmien to cooperate with the school, cautioning her against sharing information about minor students. “This tends to put them in a bad light, embarrassment, and even ridicule not only in CSA but in the eyes of the public,” it read. The school expressed concern over the potential unintended consequences of Yasmien’s public statements, emphasizing the importance of respecting the privacy and dignity of all minors involved.

While CSA acknowledged the importance of raising awareness about bullying, it stressed that publicizing such incidents may not aid in resolving conflicts or fostering the growth of the students. The statement urged circumspection and trust in the school’s handling of the situation, warning against branding interactions among students as bullying without thorough investigation.

Yasmien had earlier claimed that Ayesha was “ganged up on” by classmates after failing to respond to messages about their school Christmas party during her vacation. She alleged that her daughter was blocked from leaving the classroom, denied food during breaks, and filmed without consent, resulting in anxiety and paranoia.

Adding to the emotional weight of the issue, Yasmien shared on Instagram a photo of Ayesha that had been cut into pieces, symbolizing the alleged harassment.

The actress is scheduled to meet with Department of Education Chief Sonny Angara to explore solutions and strategies to combat bullying in schools.

Ayesha is Yasmien’s eldest child with husband Rey Soldevilla, with whom she also shares a younger daughter, Raya Layla.
