Proud Mom Expresses Immense Joy as Daughter Passes 2024 BAR Exams

The Bar Exams are special tests that law graduates need to pass if they want to become full-fledged lawyers. These exams are tough because they check not only a person’s knowledge of the law but also their ability to apply legal principles in solving different cases.
In the Philippines, the Supreme Court conducts the Bar Exams every year, making it different from other licensure exams handled by the Professional Regulation Commission. These exams are famously difficult, and passing them is a huge achievement.
Recently, the Facebook page “RMN DYHB Bacolod 747” shared a video of a mom who couldn’t hold back her happiness and excitement after seeing her daughter’s name on the list of Bar exam passers for 2024. The video elicited reactions from the online community.
Ma. Josefina Divinagracia, who works as a Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Hinigaran, had her officemates urging her to check the list of successful Bar takers. They were just as eager to find out if her daughter made it.
The moment she spotted her daughter Janica Divinagracia’s name on the list, Ma. Josefina couldn’t contain herself. She laughed, cried, and even rolled on the floor, due to overwhelming emotion.
Janica, taking the Bar for the first time, graduated from the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO-R) School of Law. All her hard work finally paid off, and she earned the much-deserved title of attorney, making her family, school, and community proud.
For Ma. Josefina, this achievement isn’t just about Janica’s success, it’s a celebration of all the sacrifices, late nights, and support that went into making this dream a reality. Moments like this are a special reminder of how much parents and children invest in chasing their goals.
