PH Pres. Bongbong Marcos Talks with U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump via Phone Call

BONGBONG MARCOS – The Chief Executive said he was able to talk with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump over the phone and he asked about his mother, Imelda.

The United States of America is set to have a returning president following the victory of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 Elections. His recent victory in his bid for a comeback to the White House will make Trump the 45th and 47th president of U.S.

Donald Trump won the 2024 Elections after a tight match with U.S. Vice Pres. Kamala Harris, the bet of the Democrats. The U.S. Vice President called on the former President and conceded in the presidential race ahead of the end of the counting of votes. Any of them needed 270 electoral votes to clinch to the presidency.

Former U.S. Pres. Donald Trump got Michigan and Pennsylvania as well as Wisconsin. Several national leaders called on Trump to congratulate him after it was reported that Harris has conceded in the presidential race. The U.S. Vice President also congratulated the victor of the presidential race.

Philippine President Bongbong Marcos is one of the national leaders who congratulated Trump on his victory in the 2024 U.S. Elections. Marcos also claimed that he met Trump as a young man and he is confident in his leadership.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos shared on the sidelines of the distribution of the relief goods to the typhoon victims in Catanduanes that he was able to talk to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump over the phone. Based on a report on GMA News, Marcos Jr. said he congratulated Trump and the U.S. President-elect asked about his mother.

“Ang kaibigan niya talaga mother ko. Kilalang-kilala niya ‘yung mother ko. Kinukumusta niya, ‘How is Imelda?’ Sabi ko, binabati ka nga,” the PH President said.

Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also shared that he and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump talked about the PH-US alliance. He also expressed the Philippines’ continuing desire to strengthen its relationship with the United States.

According to Marcos Jr., he also told Trump that the Filipinos in America voted for him. The Philippine President is confident that the U.S. President Elect will remember it when they see each other. He is planning to visit Trump soon.

Aside from Pres. Marcos, another Filipino national leader who congratulated U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is former Pres. Rody Duterte.
