Unexpectedly, at the hearing, former Pres. Duterte told the ICC to hurry up and investigate him as he might die without them having to investigate him. He also claimed that the international court was allegedly unable to imprison African leaders who allegedly committed crimes.

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was also present at the hearing of the House Quad Committee. At the hearing, he has made several accusations against the former President. According to him, the war on drugs is allegedly fake and Duterte supposedly did it to protect Michael Yang. He also dared the former President to allow the checking of his bank accounts.

Duterte was annoyed by Trillanes. At the House hearing, the former President grabbed the microphone and almost threw it to the former Senator. However, following the hearing, he had made a claim linking the former Senator to the Malacañang Palace.

Malacañang President Bongbong Marcos

Speaking to former presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte claimed that former Sen. Antonio Trillanes was allegedly sponsored by Malacañang on his attacks against him. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the former Chief Executive also claimed that Trillanes allegedly did it for money.

Duterte also questioned the alleged motive of Malacañang against him. He stressed that he did not attack former Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on the report, the Palace reacted to the claim of the former President tagging it allegedly as mere “hallucination”.

“Alam nyo mahirap pumatol sa ganyan. Hallucination na lang yan,” Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said.

Aside from almost throwing the microphone against Trillanes at the House Quad Comm hearing, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was also caught making a “punch” gesture against former Sen. Leila de Lima who was seated beside him.
