2025 HOLIDAYS PHILIPPINES – You can check here the full list of the regular holiday observances in the country and the special non-working days.
Every year, aside from the personal occasions, the other days that many people await are the holidays. Truth be told that the holidays mean different among many people — to some individuals, they are opportunities to celebrate or join with the celebration of an event while to others, the holidays are chances for some catching ups with family and friends.
In the case of other people, the holidays are undeniably opportunities for an extended rest. There are a lot of individuals who live busy lives and these holidays are some of the chances that they can get up late from bed and be back to sleep after breakfast as they don’t need to be at school or work.
The holidays in the Philippines are dependent on the declaration of Malacañang. Every year, there are both regular and special non-working days in the country. During regular holidays, both the classes in schools and the work in the public and private sectors are cancelled.
The employees who have to report to work on a regular holiday are entitled to receive an extra pay that is equivalent to their basic daily salary on top of their salary for the day. During special non-working days, work is also cancelled and the employees who need to report to duty will get 30% of their basic daily salary on top of their salary for the day.
