Angelica Yulo: “Huge congratulations to this young man”
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo congratulated her son, Karl Eldrew, for winning 4 gold medals and 2 silver medals in Thailand gymnastics meet.
Karl competed in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Junior division in the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championships in Thailand.
The Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) first announced last November 1, 2024 that Karl Jahrel Eldrew Yulo secured the Gold medal for the individual all-around event and also won Silver medal for the team event in the said meet.
Karl’s mom then shared GAP’s post and captioned, “You did it! Congratulations! Good luck sa finals!”
On November 3, 2024, GAP announced that Karl won Gold medals for floor exercise, still rings, and vault events, and also secured the Silver medal for parallel bars.
Angelica shared on Facebook a screen shot of a video call with her son after the competition. She then congratulated her son for winning in the competition, and also thanked the Lord for keeping her son and his team safe.
She added hashtags #ToGodBeTheGlory and #ProudMom at the last part of her social media post.
In the comments section, netizens told Karl not to follow what his brother Carlos did after winning in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Prior to this, Angelica shared a series of photos on Facebook where she can be seen wearing her Halloween costume in Singapore. Netizens said in the comments section of her post that she deserved to have a vacation and be happy, since she’s been busy with her food and online business recently.
Meanwhile, former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson gave PHP 1 million to Yulo family as a “pre-Yuletide” gift as he’s pushing for the reconciliation of Pinoy gymnast Carlos Yulo and his parents Angelica and Mark Andrew.
