Actress Kris Aquino had Cancer Scare amid Fight against Life-Threatening Autoimmune Diseases
KRIS AQUINO – The actress-TV host revealed that she went through a positron emission tomography or PET scan and had a colon cancer scare that caused her a breakdown.
It is no secret to the public that Kris is battling multiple autoimmune diseases now amid her silence on social media for more than a year now. From time to time, the actress-TV host posts updates for her followers and fans and supporters.
It was last month when Kris Aquino came home to the Philippines after two (2) years of stay in the United States. In 2022, the Queen of All Media flew to the United States for her treatment. She is accompanied by her sons, Josh and Bimby, abroad.
Kris is allergic to several medicines thus, it is an additional challenge for her doctors in fighting her autoimmune diseases. When she announced her coming home to the Philippines, she revealed it is because that she is about to start her second immunosuppressant infusions which she described as a “gentler term for chemotherapy”.
According to the actress-TV host, she needs the encouragement and the unwavering faith of her family and closest friends as she will start her second immunosuppressant infusions. She stressed that she and her medical team are now in a fight to protect her vital organs.
Recently, Kris Aquino revealed that she went through a positron emission tomography or PET scan and she had a cancer scare. She initially feared having a colon cancer after the “colon area lit up”. The actress-TV host admitted that she broke down after her PET scan.
“I’m normally very BRAVE. But i broke down after my doctor left. My nurse and the SLMC nurse saw me and said they had never seen me so sad,” Kris said.
According to her, she was in tears when she explained it to Bimby but her youngest son really did his best to stay strong for her. He comforted his mother.
“Mama, until they do the biopsy let’s trust God that you’re cancer free. Lola will make sure you’ll get through this and if ever, mama it’s early detection… I don’t think tito Noy is excited to have a reunion with you this soon because he’s enjoying the peace and quiet in Heaven,” Bimb told his mom.
Meanwhile, after a few days, the good news came. The doctor of Kris Aquino told the actress-TV host that she is cancer free and she also has clear intestines and there are no visible signs of cancer. Through her post, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who prayed for her.
