Senatorial Aspirant Willie Revillame Reacts To Criticisms of Bid in 2025 Elections
WILLIE REVILLAME – The veteran game show host spoke on the criticisms against his decision to run for senator in the 2025 Elections.
In the 2025 Midterm Elections, one of the showbiz celebrities who joined the senatorial race is Willie. Undeniably, his decision shocked a lot of people most especially that he has an ongoing game show under TV5, the Wil To Win.
Willie Revillame filed his candidacy for senator in the 2025 Elections before the cut-off time on the last day of the CoC filing period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec). He joined the pool of showbiz celebrities who are making their attempts in government positions.
Undeniably, there are a lot of showbiz celebrities who are joining the 2025 Elections as candidates. Following their filing of their Certificates of Candidacy, these political aspirant actors, actresses, and TV hosts face questions about their capability.
In the case of Willie Revillame who is running for senator in the next elections, there are critics claiming that the veteran game show host has no knowledge in law-making. Based on an article on Pep, he has given his reaction to the said criticism and appealed to the people not to bash political aspirants like him.
“Hindi naman kailangan meron kang alam, e. Minsan nga mas maganda pa kung wala kang alam basta busilak ang puso mo sa pagtulong,” Willie said during his conversation with Deo Macalma in a DZRH program.
According to Kuya Wil, what he knows is that he wants to uplift the lives of his fellow Filipinos to the best of his capability. He stressed that there are a lot of politicians who make promises during campaign periods and asked if these politicians fulfill their promises.
“Ako, gagawin ko yan. Hindi ko na kailangan ng pera, hindi ako magnanakaw,” he said.
Based on the article, Willie Revillame also raised a question if all the laws crafted in the Senate are being implemented. According to him, there are so many laws already and several senators and presidents have passed.
“Huwag niyo naman kaming matahin, ano naman… kengkoy daw kami. Hindi kengkoy ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga kababayan natin,” Willie expressed.
Willie Revillame stressed that he is not appearing clean and he also has mistakes. Meanwhile, he takes his senatorial bid as the chance to do things for the benefit of his fellow Filipinos.
