Mother of Carlos Yulo, Angelica Yulo, Speaks on Money Issue with Son
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of Olympics double gold medalist Carlos Yulo expressed her refusal to initiate reconciliation with her son.
The victories of Carlo Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics has set a record that is very challenging to surpass. The Filipino gymnast bagged not only one but two gold medals for the Philippines in the said international sports event.
Carlos Yulo got his first Olympic gold medal on Saturday after scoring 15.00 in men’s floor exercise. It was momentuous not only for the gymnast but the Filipino nation as the Philippine national anthem was played at the arena following Caloy’s win.
Countless Filipinos are very happy for the victory of Carlos Yulo. He got the Philippines’ first gold in the Olympics held in Paris, France. He is also the country’s first male athlete to win an Olympic medal. Philippine President Bongbong Marcos is one of those who congratulated Carlos.
On Sunday, the Filipino nation once again rejoiced after Caloy won his second Olympic gold medal. He stood out in men’s vault events which made him the first Filipino athlete to win two gold Olympic medals for the country. The PH government and several giant companies want to appreciate Caloy’s win through rewards.
There is at least Php 33 million cash reward, a house and lot in Tagaytay, a condo unit, and a lot more that awaits Carlos Yulo in his return to the Philippines. Many people are jaw-dropped by the multi-million rewards that keep on increasing.
However, amid the success of Carlos Yulo being celebrated everywhere, there are personal issues between him and his mother that sparked reports. The public is no aware that there are money issues between him and his mother, Angelica Yulo.
Caloy claimed that he was not able to take hold of his money which were his incentives from his previous performances and he did not know where it went. Recently, Angelica Yulo spoke to defend herself saying she did not overspend the money of her son.
Based on a report on GMA News, Angelica Yulo denied that she used Carlos’ money for her personal lavishes. She stressed that there is no truth to the allegations that she stole the money of her son. According to her, if Caloy thinks that she used his money in luxuries, she is willing to provide pieces of evidences like deposit slips to prove the allegations wrong.
The mother of Carlos Yulo also stressed that their family’s lifestyle did not change even after he already makes money from joining competitions. Based on the report, she admitted that the accusations of her son is painful to her.
“Gano’n pa rin naman kami, nung di pa siya nagkakapera, nung nagkapera siya walang nagbago sa lifestyle namin,” the mother of Caloy said.
Despite the issues between her and Caloy, Angelica Yulo is reportedly happy for the victories of her son in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, according to Caloy’s mother, she will not make the move of reconciling with him so she won’t be accused that she is doing it for money as he won.
