Former Actress Alma Soriano Admits She Knows How to Perform Witchcraft

Alma Soriano, a Former Actress, Admits to Knowing Witchcraft

ALMA SORIANO – The former actress who rose to fame in the 90s revealed in an interview with Morly Alinio that she comes from a family with a tradition of witchcraft.

Alma shared that her supernatural abilities were inherited from her grandmother and explained that she identifies as a “gray witch.” She clarified that her intent is not to cause harm but to use her abilities for good.

“I’m a gray witch; I can be black, or I can be white, or I can be both. ‘Wag na nating pangarapin na maging black [witch] ako so let’s stay in the middle,” she said. “I can heal, kaya kitang gamutin [pero] hindi ‘yung intense na [karamdaman],” she added.

Alma discovered her abilities during the pandemic while attempting to help her ailing relatives. She mentioned that she can heal, but only from less severe conditions, and she claimed to have the ability to predict the future of individuals. Despite her skills, Alma admitted she could perform ‘kulam’ (sorcery) but chose not to due to the potential negative consequences of such actions.

She emphasized that true practitioners of witchcraft or fortunetelling should not charge for their services. According to Alma, asking for payment for such abilities indicates a lack of authenticity. She views these abilities as a divine gift rather than something to be commercialized.

Meanwhile, witchcraft is the use of magical powers, rooted in ancient traditions and nature. Historically, healers and wise women practiced it, but during the Middle Ages, many were persecuted and killed. Different types include Wicca, traditional, green, and hedge witchcraft, each with unique rituals and beliefs. Common practices involve spells, rituals, divination like tarot cards, and herbalism. Beliefs often include the idea that everything in nature has a spirit and the worship of many gods. Modern witchcraft is experiencing a revival, with people exploring it for spiritual growth, empowerment, and a connection to nature, often sharing knowledge online.
