News 5 reported that the video originated from former NTF-ELCAC spokesperson Lorraine Badoy-Partosa. In the footage, a woman asks VP Sara about the wound on her neck while she appears to be reading a Bible. VP Sara responds, “Sinubukan nila akong i-gurgur pero hindi sila nagtagumpay,” without specifying who “they” are.

Recently, VP Sara resigned from her position as the Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd). Despite stepping down from this cabinet role, she assured that she would continue to perform her duties as the Vice President of the Philippines. This development has added to the ongoing public interest and concern regarding her safety and political standing.

Meanwhile, Sara Duterte, also known as Inday Sara, is a politician and lawyer. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Philippines, having assumed office on June 30, 2022, under President Bongbong Marcos. Prior to her vice presidency, Duterte held significant roles, such as Secretary of Education from June 2022 to June 2024. She also served as the Mayor of Davao City for multiple terms: first from 2010 to 2013 and again from 2016 to 2022.

Duterte is the daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte and Elizabeth Zimmerman. She studied law at San Beda College and San Sebastian College – Recoletos, eventually passing the Philippine Bar Examination in 2005. Duterte began her political career as Vice Mayor of Davao City from 2007 to 2010, succeeding her father, who was then mayor. She later became the first female and youngest mayor of Davao City in 2010, known for her initiatives like the Byaheng DO30 and Peace 911 programs, which focused on community development and addressing local conflicts.
