NADINE LUSTRE – The actress has been rumored to be chosen to star in the Philippine version of ‘True Beauty.’
Earlier, reports surfaced suggesting that Nadine Lustre may headline the Philippine adaptation of the popular Korean series “True Beauty.” This news has created quite a buzz, with discussions reportedly ongoing between the media giant ABS-CBN and the streaming service Viu.
According to a viral post, ABS-CBN Studios and VIU are in talks with Nadine Lustre to play the lead role. The post highlighted that following the success of “#WhatsWrongWithSecretaryKimPH,” there is strong interest in adapting “True Beauty” for a Filipino audience. The announcement has garnered significant attention, with over 460,000 views on X (formerly Twitter), sparking a mix of excitement and debate among netizens.
Some fans expressed their enthusiasm, while others questioned Nadine’s suitability for the role, suggesting alternative actresses who might be a better fit for the adaptation. Nadine, in a recent interview, mentioned that updates on her upcoming movie with Director Mikhail Red, titled “Nokturno,” would be forthcoming this year. The horror film, announced last year, is yet to have a release date.
When asked about the rumors of her signing with ABS-CBN, Nadine remained tight-lipped, simply stating, “Ang dami namang nagli-leak…We’ll see.” She added that while she is busy with various projects, she is unsure about the latest developments regarding her contracts with ABS-CBN.
