MADAME TUSSAUDS – The Hong Kong branch of the world-famous museum has announced that actress Anne Curtis is the next Filipino celebrity to get her own wax figure.
This was announced by the world-famous museum on social media on Friday, December 1, 2023. As seen in the series of photos posted online, a museum representative can be seen taking details of Anne’s features for reference.
Anne will be the fourth Filipino celebrity to have her own wax statue in a prestigious museum.
The Hong Kong branch of the world-famous museum even described Anne as “Multimedia Superstar”.
According to a report on ABS-CBN News, Anne will make history as the first Filipino TV host and actress to grace Hong Kong’s “Hong Kong Glamour Zone” and her figure will be placed in the same area as Hollywood stars.
Meanwhile, Anne shared a series of photos on Instagram and announced that she’ll be joining Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
“I cannot believe this is happening. So thrilled to share that I will be joining [Madame Tussauds Hong Kong]. Another dream ANNE-locked!” she wrote in the caption of her social media post.
Madame Tussauds is known for creating life-like wax figures of historical figures, celebrities, and iconic personalities. The world-famous museum has wax figures of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and champion boxer Manny Pacquiao.
The decision of the museum to include the “It’s Showtime” host in their collection reflects her immense popularity and influence, not only in the Philippines but on a global scale as well.
