Ceres Negros Football Company Transfers Ownership To MMC Sportz Asia

Ceres Negros Football Company transferred its ownership to MMC Sportz Asia.

From Ceres Negros to United City Football Club, the Ceres Negros Football Company officially transferred its ownership to a group of private investors which was managed by MMC Sportz Asia.

In a press release last Thursday, July 23, MMC Sportz Asia led its group of private investors in order to manage the United City Football Club through this year’s Philippines Football League (PFL) & AFC Cup competitions.

Eric Gottschalk, the CEO of MMC Sportz Asia who was the “point of contact”, thanked Mr. Yanson and his team for agreeing to the transfer of Ceres Negros FC into a new name.

Moreover, Gottschalk said that the company would immediately apply for permission with the Philippine Football Federation to rename Ceres Negros FC into United City Football Club.

In addition, the company was also retaining “almost the entire staff” as MCC Sportz Asia appointed Ace Bright as the General Manager of the Club, and it’s the company’s intent to have Coach Risto return as the Head Coach of the Club.

Moreover, the company’s aim was to keep its team and staff together and allow them the “well-deserved” chance to continue to play football in the middle of all the challenges that the public had been facing.
