Analyzing the same data reveals that the average prices of new electric vehicles (EVs) have actually dropped by approximately $10,000 compared to 2022, averaging around $55,000. This decline can be attributed to a combination of increased supply and the introduction of more reasonably priced models and trim levels.
Despite this, electric vehicles still tend to be, on average, more costly than traditional gasoline-powered cars. Nevertheless, if you’re considering making the switch to an electric vehicle, there are still plenty of affordable choices available.

1. 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV 1LT
The Bolt EUV takes all the positive aspects of the Bolt EV and applies them to a larger platform. With more space for passengers and cargo, the EUV could be a better option for young families, and it’s only slightly pricier than its smaller counterpart. However, the increased size results in a slight reduction in range, which is still impressive at 247 miles per charge. All in all, the Bolt EUV provides excellent value and serves as an excellent entry point for those interested in the electric vehicle lifestyle. Price: $28,795, Range: 247 miles
