Congressman Arnie Teves: “‘Pag nakita ko na may fairness, there is a sense of fairness, baka umuwi na ko.”
ARNIE TEVES – Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr. revealed what might make him come back to the Philippines.
The congressman of the 3rd district of Negros Oriental was tagged by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla as the possible “main mastermind” in the death of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
It was last March when the House of Representatives served Teves with a 60-day suspension order over his continued absence in congressional proceedings.
Without disclosing his location due to fears of getting killed, Teves said in an interview on ANC’s Headstart on Thursday that he could no longer count how many days he has been out of the Philippines.
Teves also said that he might consider going back home if he sees a “sense of fairness” in the investigation into the Degamo’s death.
“Pag nakita ko na may fairness, there is a sense of fairness, baka umuwi na ako, I might consider it,” Teves said. “Gustong-gusto ko na umuwi kung hindi lang dahil sa banta. Wala akong iniiwasang batas. I’m not evading anything dahil wala naman akong kaso eh.“
