Will Jane de Leon still fly as Darna?
Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon has started filming for her Darna movie and fans might be questioning if this project will push through amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
TV and movie productions temporarily took a break when the lockdown started due to the health crisis in the Philippines. On the other hand, there are projects that are already cancelled.
Meanwhile, some productions need to have major adjustments in order to cope up with the new normal as part of the safety protocols.
Fans of the much-awaited Darna movie have long been waiting for the Pinay superhero to fly. Based on the article from PEP, the anticipation of fans for this movie started in 2014 after Star Cinema uploaded the story conference on YouTube.

However, until the new Darna was chosen in July of 2019, fans are still waiting. Despite the delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors that affected the filming, such as the change in the lead character and director, it was said that Star Cinema is determined to do the movie.
According to entertainment columnist Noel Ferrer, each member of the team was talked to individually and certain adjustments will be made.
However, Ferrer said that he is not in the liberty to reveal the topic of the conversation. However, the movie will push through but there is no assurance yet if when will this happen.
Meanwhile, being named as the new Darna opened a bigger door of opportunity in the entertainment industry for Jane de Leon. However, just like many popular talents before her, she also needs to be patient in waiting for her time to fly on the big screen.
