The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is one of the agencies that you may turn to for help in times of medical emergencies or hospitalizations. It has crafted a program that aims to help the poorest of the poor in crisis situations – the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).
Under the AICS, one of the offers is the medical cash aid which is extended to poor Filipinos who have no capacity of paying the medical bills. The offer is open to all Filpino citizens regardless of gender, age, and religion. You may apply for it to cover hospital bills, surgical fees, and other medical-related expenses.
