Alfred Vargas Shares Message For Late Mom On Her 9th Death Anniversary

Alfred Vargas to his late mom: “Thanks for always praying for me and guiding me”

ALFRED VARGAS – The actor-politician recently shared a message for his late mother Ching Vargas to mark her 9th death anniversary.

Sharing a series of black-and-white photos on his social media account, the actor said that his late mom succumbed to cancer last March 29, 2014.

She fought courageously & graciously,” the actor said. “It was the last lesson she taught us. To face life with responsibility, meaning [and] purpose. To love [and] make a difference even in your smallest of ways. To have no fear in life, only fear of the Lord.

Alfred went on to share a message for his late mom by expressing his love for her.

The actor-politician also expressed his gratitude to his late mother for praying for him and also for guiding him. He also thanked his late mother for being always there for his family.

Alfred also included the hashtags #chingvargas, #RIP, #motherandson, and #deathanniversary in his social media post.

According to a report on GMA Entertainment, the Kapuso actor said in an interview with GMANetwork.com and other select member of the press last 2021 that his master’s degree in public administration was his promise to his late mom who was a lawyer.

At that time, he shared that he entered the showbiz industry when he graduated in Ateneo last 2002 instead of going to law school.

Yung mother ko, lawyer. Medyo bumigat yung loob niya. Medyo nagalit siya sa akin, as in nagkaiyakan pa kami before,” he shared at that time. “Pero sabi ng mom ko, noong napanood niya ako, lalo na sa ‘Encantadia,’ sabi niya, ‘Sige, okay lang. Basta, kahit hindi ka mag-law school, anak, just promise me you will pursue graduate studies.’ [Promise] ko sa kaniya ‘yon.

The actor currently stars in Kapuso teleserye “AraBella” and is also pursuing his doctoral degree at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman through the ladderized program of the university’s School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP).
