Raissa Robles: “A cowardly Marcos troll sent me a death threat”
RAISSA ROBLES – The prominent journalist received a death threat from someone whom she claimed a “Marcos troll.”
Robles is an investigative journalist. She’s currently a Manila correspondent of South China Morning Post (HK) – Asia’s oldest English language newspaper – and Radio Netherlands.
She used to be a contributing reporter for Asiaweek magazine of the Time-CNN Group, Asia Inc. magazine, and Riyadh Daily newspaper. She also did pieces for The Times of London and BBC Radio. Robles started out in Business Day, then The Manila Chronicle, Business Star, and Philippine Star newspapers.
She’s also one of the staunch critics of the Marcoses. Previously, she criticized Sen. Imee Marcos calling her “trying hard” and “ensaymada” due to her SONA 2022 outfit.
Recently, she went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she disclosed that she received a death threat. According to her, the threat on her life came from a “cowardly Marcos troll.”
In the photo, she posted on the platform, the message can be read: “a bullet in your head….soon”. She shared it on Twitter with the caption: “Last night, a cowardly Marcos troll sent me a death threat via Twitter DM. Pls follow the thread.”
In another post, Raissa Robles the account information of the Twitter user who sent her a death threat. Apparently, she was blocked by the troll but asked someone to look at his profile. She found out that the troll has zero followers but was following 25 people including President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. She noted that the last thing she wrote about was the controversial Maharlika Wealth Fund.
