Is Matteo Guidicelli Out of BNC? Rumors Grow, Susan Enriquez Responds
SUSAN ENRIQUEZ – The veteran journalist has defended actor-host Matteo Guidicelli amid online discussions linking him to alleged issues during his time on “Unang Hirit” and recent rumors suggesting he may have been removed from Bilyonaryo News Channel (BNC).
When a social media user described Guidicelli as difficult to work with, Enriquez quickly rejected the claim, saying it was not true based on her own experience working with him. Her statement added support for Guidicelli as speculation about his status in the network continues to circulate. As of now, neither Guidicelli nor BNC has released an official statement regarding the issue.
Reports in media circles suggest that Guidicelli may have been let go by BNC following an alleged disagreement related to his increasing projects with TV5. According to insiders, tension reportedly started when he accepted hosting duties for a new public affairs program on TV5 without first getting approval from BNC management. He is also involved in another TV5 project, a documentary series titled “Patriots,” produced by News5 and Cignal TV.

Some sources claimed that this situation surprised BNC executives and created friction, with claims that management felt he had acted without proper coordination. These developments reportedly escalated, leading to speculation that he was removed from the network.
The situation comes as a surprise to some observers, since Guidicelli originally joined BNC after actively seeking opportunities in broadcast journalism following his time with GMA Public Affairs. At BNC, he became a familiar face through his roles in the flagship program “Agenda,” where he worked as a lifestyle, sports, and entertainment anchor, and through his weekly show “Matteo G. Primetime.” His programs featured interviews with well-known personalities and helped strengthen his presence in the media industry.

At the same time, his involvement with TV5 has become more noticeable. Aside from “Patriots,” he is also expected to appear in an upcoming TV5 drama series. “Patriots,” in particular, highlights real-life stories of bravery and service within the Armed Forces of the Philippines, with Guidicelli participating as a Philippine Army reservist.
