Netizens Touched By Grandmother Comforting Her Crying Grandchild
A grandmother touched the hearts of netizens after she was seen comforting her crying grandchild in a viral TikTok video.
Recently, TikTok user Franchettepalomo20 shared the video showing the lola consoling her grandchild. The post quickly went viral and gathered different reactions from the online community.
In the Philippines, grandparents often play a special role in families. They are not only mentors and storytellers but also sources of comfort and strength. For many grandchildren, a lolo or lola feels like a “fairy godparent” who can grant the little wishes that parents may not always be able to fulfill.
The grandchild, overwhelmed by work stress and financial struggles, turned to her lola for comfort. Without hesitation, the grandmother gave hugs and kisses, assuring her that she was not alone.
“I was overwhelmed with so much stress at work, and all my problems came crashing down at once, but my lola kissed and hugged me. Thank you so much, Mama,” Palomo said.
Franchett, the grandchild in the video, shared that she grew up very close to her lola, who has always shown affection in thoughtful ways. From preparing meals every day to gently rubbing her head until she fell asleep, her grandmother has always expressed love in actions both big and small.

“Umiiyak na ako ng ilang minuto tapos may isa akong kasama sa bahay sabi ko bat nya ako vinivideohan na iistress na ako sa trabaho. Tapos tinawag ko siya, sinabi ko, ‘Mama kiss mo nga ako.’ Sinabi niya sakin na ‘wag na raw ako umiyak dahil naiiyak din daw sya,” she added.
Palomo’s heartfelt post ended with a touching message of gratitude to her 78-year-old lola. The granddaughter promised that when she succeeds in life, she will repay all the care and sacrifices by giving her grandmother the life she truly deserves.
