Authorities Arrest College Student for Coercion Using Lewd Photos and Videos
A 21-year-old college student was arrested for allegedly threatening and forcing a woman using inappropriate photos and videos.
Recently, the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) shared the news of the student’s arrest on their official Facebook page, stating that he coerced a woman by using explicit images. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions from netizens.
According to authorities, the suspect, identified only by the alias “Lupe,” attempted to manipulate the victim by using sensitive content to force her into doing what he wanted. The disturbing act caught the attention of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG), who immediately acted on the complaint filed against him.

“Lupe” is now facing several legal charges, including Grave Coercion under the Revised Penal Code, and violations of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act and the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act.
These charges are also linked to the Cybercrime Prevention Act, which strengthens penalties for offenses committed online.
Authorities emphasized that this kind of behavior, especially on digital platforms, will not be tolerated. They reminded the public that anyone caught abusing or threatening others online will be held accountable under the law.
The operation not only resulted in the suspect’s arrest but also served as a warning to those who think they can hide behind screens to commit abusive acts.
The PNP ACG continues to monitor cases like this to ensure that victims of digital exploitation are protected and that offenders face justice.
“Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the operatives for the successful operation. He also stated, “Let this serve as a warning to those who exploit others online, your actions will not go unpunished. The PNP ACG is actively tracking down offenders and using every legal means to hold them accountable,” the post reads.
