Teacher Passes LET on 19th Try After Failing 18 Times

After 18 Failures, Teacher Finally Achieves Her Dream

After 18 failed attempts, teacher Mary Grace Millama Zulueta finally passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), proving that determination and perseverance can lead to success, no matter how long it takes.

Mary Grace never gave up on her dream of becoming a licensed educator. On her 19th attempt, she finally succeeded. She recalled that during this particular exam, something felt different. For the first time, she didn’t feel sleepy while answering, and the moment she saw the first question, she already knew the answer. These signs gave her the confidence that this time, things would go her way.

Her inspiring story stood out when the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of the March 2025 LET on a Friday. Mary Grace was one of the 55,029 passers out of a total of 97,035 examinees. She had finally made it after nearly two decades of trying, never letting her repeated failures stop her from trying again.
