OFW Surprises Long-Time Best Friend After 2 Years of Working Abroad
OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKER – An OFW went viral after surprising his long-time best friend after two years of working abroad.
Recently, Marjun II Luañam, a TikTok user, shared a video of him surprising his best friend when he returned home for vacation. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions online.
Luañam surprised his best friend during his vacation in the Philippines. Without informing anyone about his return from Australia, he went straight to his best friend’s home, a place they both considered a second home.
Their bond started back in high school, where they became inseparable. Luañam often spent time at his best friend’s house, especially during difficult moments. It was more than just a hangout spot, it had become his safe space.
“Parang I’m part of that family na rin since sa bahay talaga nila ang tambayan namin since then; doon ako nag-sleep over and kapag may problem sa bahay, doon ako pumupunta sa kanila just to escape,” he said.
Their friendship stood the test of time, even with the physical distance caused by work abroad. They always supported each other’s choices and remained connected through their shared dreams and struggles.
Upon his return, the two caught up on everything they had missed over the years. They looked back on their ups and downs and reflected on how far they’ve come since their younger days. As part of their reunion, they took a nostalgic road trip to visit places that held special memories for them.
“She’s there with me in my lowest and we’ve been supporting each other on whatever decision or plan we want to take,” he expressed.
“We reminisced about all the good and the bad things and all the struggles we’ve [experienced] bago kami napunta sa kung saan kami ngayon,” he added.
