Wife of Bacolod Mayor Albee Benitez Files Complaint, Names Ivana Alawi
IVANA ALAWI – The actress and vlogger is currently at the center of a social media storm after being named as the alleged mistress of Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez.
The controversy began when Mayor Benitez’s wife, Nikki Benitez, filed a formal complaint under Republic Act 9262, also known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.” In her affidavit, Nikki accused the mayor of repeated emotional and psychological abuse, citing multiple instances of infidelity as the cause of her distress. One of the central figures in her complaint is Ivana, whom she claims is involved in an ongoing extramarital affair with her husband.
According to Nikki, the alleged affair between Mayor Benitez and Ivana continues to this day and has greatly contributed to her emotional suffering. This isn’t the first time the two were linked—earlier in 2024, photos of them together at a Japanese airport sparked rumors of a relationship. At the time, both Ivana and the mayor denied the allegations, stating that it was merely a coincidence that they were seen in the same location.
“HINDI PO AKO ANG NASASABING girlfriend ni Mayor Albee Benitez,” Ivana said. She explained that she initially chose to ignore the rumors but decided to speak out after the gossip began affecting her mother and younger sister, Mona. Ivana also confirmed that she is currently dating someone—a businessman who, she clarified, is not involved in politics. “I am currently seeing someone who makes me happy. All I can say is that he is a respectable businessman and not a Politician,” she shared.
As of now, neither Ivana Alawi nor Mayor Albee Benitez has released a formal statement addressing the allegations made by Nikki Benitez.
