Imee Marcos New Campaign Ad: “Ang gobyerno ngayon ay Romualdez at Araneta”

Sen. Imee Marcos Releases New Campaign Video Claiming Gov’t Is Allegedly Not Ran by Marcos Jr.

IMEE MARCOS – In her newest campaign ad, the Senator claimed that the government now is allegedly not Marcos but “Romualdez and Araneta”.

Following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Sen. Marcos skipped the campaign sorties of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago. The grand alliance is endorsed by her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, and his administration.

Eventually, after Pres. Bongbong Marcos made no mention of her during the campaign in Cavite, Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago. According to her, the recent actions of the government over Duterte’s arrest do not match her ideals and principles in life.

Sen. Marcos said she would just campaign with her friends who are candidates in the local elections. She led a Senate investigation on Duterte’s arrest which conducted three (3) hearings. She submitted her findings to the Ombudsman that call for an investigation on five (5) government officials.

According to her, she and her brother have never fought. She claimed that her enemies are the “lolongs” in Malacañang.

Recently, in her newest campaign ad, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that the government now is not led by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. She seemingly took swipe at presidential cousin and House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos as the alleged people running the government now.

“Ang gobyerno ngayon ay hindi Marcos. Ang gobyerno ngayon ay Romualdez at Araneta. Payo ni VP, magpalit na raw ako ng apelyido. Inday, hindi ko kailangang magpalit ng apelyido. Marcos ako. I’m me. Ako ay ako. Ako ay si Imee Marcos.”

The Senator also said that a Marcos will not be in an alliance with people who judged and pinned down their family. According to her, it is not the legacy of her father. She stressed that while the rice is allegedly imported, and so is justice.

Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that it is clear that the government now is not led by a Marcos but a Romualdez and an Araneta. She ended her campaign advertisement calling for votes in the May 2025 Elections.

“Kaya malinaw, ang gobyerno ngayon ay hindi MARCOS. Ang gobyerno ngayon ay Romualdez at Araneta. Kaya tandaan, ako ay ako. I’m me. Imeeisip. Imeesalita. Imeegawa.

Previously, following Sen. Imee Marcos’ departure from the Alyansa, Pres. Bongbong Marcos changed the chant of the grand alliance.
