Open Letter from Xian Gaza to Dennis Padilla and the Issue of Claudia Barretto’s Wedding
XIAN GAZA – The social media personality wrote an open letter to actor Dennis Padilla after the issue surrounding Dennis and his daughter, Claudia Barretto’s wedding went viral.
In a Facebook post, Xian shared his honest thoughts, telling Dennis to stop blaming his children for how they treat him. According to Xian, the way Dennis’s children treat him now is simply a result of how he treated them when they were younger. “Huwag mo na pong pahirapan yung mga anak mo,” Xian wrote. “Yung pakikitungo ng mga anak natin ay repleksyon kung paano tayo sa kanila noong mga bata pa sila.”
Xian’s message followed the public’s reaction to Dennis not being part of the official wedding entourage during Claudia’s special day. He didn’t walk her down the aisle and wasn’t given a special role as the bride’s father. Instead, he was treated just like a regular guest, which shocked many people online.
Dennis’s brother, Gene Padilla, also shared a long Facebook post to explain what really happened during the wedding. Gene said he and their mother arrived early at the church. Their mother even woke up at 5 AM, excited to see her granddaughter get married. But when they arrived at the venue, no one told them that Dennis wasn’t part of the wedding program. He wasn’t included in the procession, and no one directed them on where to sit. Dennis was simply told to sit beside the godparents.
As a result, Gene and Dennis chose to sit at the back of the church. Gene shared that Dennis cried because of what happened, and their mother cried too. He said it was painful to see his brother and their mother feeling left out.
Gene also mentioned that Dennis had been trying for a long time to repair his relationship with his children, but still ended up being pushed away. He questioned whether fame and success had made Dennis’s children forget the value of family and respect for their parents.
