Dennis Padilla Treated Like a Guest at Daughter’s Wedding
DENNIS PADILLA – The actor and comedian shared how hurt and sad he felt after being treated like a stranger at the wedding of his daughter, Claudia Barretto.
On April 8, 2025, Claudia married her fiancé, Basti Lorenzo — a special day that became painful for Dennis, who posted on social media that he expected to be part of the event as the father of the bride but ended up feeling left out.
In a series of Instagram posts, which he later deleted, Dennis said he thought he would have an important role in the wedding. Instead, he said he was treated like a visitor. He even shared a photo of a handwritten note in all capital letters that said, “GRABE KAYO!! NABUDOL NYO AKO! FATHER OF THE BRIDE NAGING VISITOR. GALING NYO!” He also added captions like “Sagad Sa Buto” and “Budol.”
When someone asked who got married, Dennis simply replied, “claudia knina”. He also shared that while he was present, he wasn’t officially invited and had no role in the wedding program. “i dont [have] a part sa program… Ayaw nila padala invites,” he told a follower.
Many people online shared their support and sympathy, encouraging Dennis to continue being a good father even if his children are distant. Others, however, advised him to stop posting about the issue in public, saying it might make things worse between him and his children. One commenter reminded him that as a father and the older one in the situation, he should try to understand his children better and fix things privately.
Another message suggested that healing can happen through prayer and calm reflection, not by posting online. The commenter pointed out that Dennis’s children have stayed quiet about their relationship, and that protecting the family should come first.
As of now, Dennis has deleted the posts, but the situation shows that there are still unresolved problems between him and his kids.
