Female Pet Owner Slams Popular Airline After Losing Her Beloved Cat
A female pet owner expressed frustration with a popular airline after her beloved cat went missing under their care.
Recently, Erika Ledesma, a Facebook user, calls out Cebu Pacific for allegedly mishandling her pet, Landong. The post quickly spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from the netizens.
According to Ledesma, Landong was scheduled for transport to Bacolod on March 6, 2025. A pet transport service picked him up from her home in Mandaluyong on the evening of March 5 and delivered him to Cebu Pacific Cargo Terminal 4 in Pasay City at around 2 AM the next day.

The cat was set to board a 4:30 AM flight, but Ledesma later received a distressing news that Landong had escaped after his crate was broken at Terminal 3 during loading.
Ledesma raised several concerns, questioning how much force was used to damage the crate and why the airline had yet to provide proof of the broken enclosure. She also accused Cebu Pacific of not making enough effort to locate her missing pet, saying they showed little urgency or accountability.
In her viral post, Ledesma urged the public to pressure Cebu Pacific into taking responsibility for the incident. She warned other pet owners that their animals could be the next victims of alleged mishandling.

Ledesma relies on public support as she claims the airline has not cooperated in locating her missing cat.
“WE CALL ON EVERYONE TO HELP US MAKE CEBU PACIFIC ACCOUNTABLE. THIS SHOWS THEIR INCOMPETENCE IN HANDLING PETS AND OTHER LIVE ANIMALS. IT COULD BE YOUR PET NEXT TIME THAT THEY WILL MISHANDLE,” Ledesma wrote.
