Torre Claims Honeylet Avanceña First Choice To Go w/ Duterte to Netherlands
HONEYLET AVANCEÑA – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Nicolas Torre III claimed that the partner of former President Rodrigo Duterte allegedly refused to go with him saying she has no passport.
The unexpected turn of events on Monday hooked the Filipino people. What was expected to be a simple homecoming of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte from Hong Kong turned out to be the day of his arrest. The International Criminal Court has reportedly issued an arrest warrant against him.

The Presidential Communications Office released a statement confirming the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte by the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP). According to PCO, the Manila Interpol received a copy of the arrest warrant from the ICC early Monday.

Duterte was with his common-law wife, Honeylet Avaceña, and their daughter, Kitty Duterte, throughout the commotion. He was brought to Villamor Air Base where he was detained for several hours. The day ended with the former Philippine President being exited from the country en route for the Netherlands.
The former President flew with former executive secretary Atty. Salvador Medialdea, a nurse, and his special assistant. The chartered plane flew to Dubai where it had a lay over before Duterte’s flight to the Netherlands.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Nicolas Torre III claimed that Honeylet Avanceña, the common-law wife of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, was allegedly their first choice to be with the former Chief Executive in his flight to the Netherlands.

However, Torre also claimed that Honeylet allegedly refused to go. According to him, it caused a delay as they had to have the manifest changed so the flight can push through. Former executive secretary Medialdea reportedly volunteered to be with the former President.

Based on the report, CIDG chief Nicolas Torre III claimed that Honeylet Avanceña allegedly said she has no passport, thus, she cannot go. According to the CIDG Chief, the changing of the manifest allegedly cost an hour of delay.
“Sabi niya wala na siyang passport daw, which I don’t believe. Wala siyang passport galing Hong Kong?” Torre expressed.
Previously, it was claimed by the PNP that Honeylet Avanceña has allegedly hit a SAF officer when former Pres. Duterte was being led to his flight. The said incident reportedly left a lump in the forehead of the officer.
